Plastiveneta S.a.S was established in 1959 by the cousins Ernesto and Mario Ziliotto; based on the added value of a strong family tradition, it specialised in plastic coating and PVC couplings of paper products on a subcontract basis. The entire plant, with production department and offices, was located in Cadoneghe PD.
1964
The PVC coating machine was purchased. Alberto Ziliotto, company chairman, directly followed the development and marketing of new products, such as the first PVC coated cotton/nylon tarpaulins, created for the market of rain cover applications.
1970
New technologies, including packaging cutting machines, completed the entire production stage; in this way the range of products widened to include various sectors such as tarpaulins for trucks, circuses, industrial sheds and for boating.
1979
A important conversion took place in 1979, with the creation of the weaving plant in Binago (Como): a choice necessary to meet the new market needs for special fabrics that the textile sector did not offer. Today the plant has new Dornier and Picanol looms, all equipped with take-up carts for the production of 4,000/ 6,000 linear metres in a single roll of fabric, and Mayer looms for the production of "Weft Inserted" fabrics, like our
NAIZIL BEST.
1980-1990
A decade full of growth for
Plastiveneta which gave rise to
Naizil Inc., with the establishment of new premises in Cananda. As well as marketing fabrics, backed by the technology developed in Italy, the company acquired two coating systems for the production of special fabrics, for the entire American market.
1986 saw the opening of the new premises in Campodarsego which still occupy an area of 21,000 m2 (11,000m2 of which covered).
In 1988, PARA’, the leading manufacturer of acrylic fabrics for awnings and home furnishings, entered into the share capital of
Plastiveneta S.p.A.
In 1990 a control and management system was introduced in the company as an indispensable element which, thanks to the constant development, enables total monitoring of the work, warehouse movements and accounts. Optimisation of the system now allows us to offer a service that, in addition to the qualities of the products, is recognised by all our customers as exclusive.
1999-2003
In 1999 the coating plant was completely renewed, using its own production systems. A new 360 cm width system with the brand-new coating technology was installed. An innovation enabling the execution of 4 coatings (2 each side) of PVC, with constant control of the amount of PVC on the fabric, by means of electronic equipment that automatically manages all the set parameters. The finishing system enables the fabric to be treated with double lacquering on the outside and single lacquering on the inside, always in line; it also enables 2-colour printing on one side, all in a single pass. This new width of 360 cm involved all the departments such as cutting, packing, stores, which were also completely renewed.
2004
For the purpose marketing and distributing all
Naizil coated products in the markets of Northern Europe, the
Duratex company in Denmark was acquired, and the new company “
DURATEX NAIZIL A/S” was established.
2005
The year when General Management decided to gather all the group companies under the same logo and
Naizil S.p.A. name.
2006-2008
In these years the world market was strongly influenced by the growth of Eastern European countries. Naizil S.p.A. did not stop and responded by automating the entire production cycle with increasingly faster and automatic systems and technologies which, in addition to improving the work conditions of collaborators, also reduced work cycle times.
The most important is the first completely automated vertical store with a capacity of 17,000 rolls, with shelving interlocked with travelling lift. All operations are carried out by automatic manipulators which, doing all the manual handling previously carried out by stores personnel, speed up loading and unloading operations. All this results in a completely integrated system for providing a complete and timely service.
The “La Plastiveneta” trademark was created to stand for the plastic coating of materials; the first work in coupling plastic films. The development of the logo occurred along with the development of the technology, therefore the present-day Naizil S.p.A. is really an acronym of the word Naylon, the basis of all the fabrics produced and marketed, and the surname of the Ziliotto family, which founded the company.
